About Me
Hi there! I'm Joshua Powell, I'm an actor, fight director, and stage manager from Houston, Texas, and a soon-to-be graduate of Oklahoma City University. I've made a mission of gaining the widest variety of skills that I can in order to bring versatility and flexibility if every role that I fill. Whether that be on the stage or off of it.
My recent projects include: WAX at Theatre Crude Fringe Festival, King Lear at Oklahoma City University, and Fight Direction for Proving Up at Painted Sky Opera.
Classically Trained
In my studies at Oklahoma City University I've had the opportunity to learn and practice a myriad of techniques and philosophies, form Stanislavski and Uta Hagen, to Alba breathing techniques and stage combat certifications through Dueling Arts International.
Stage Combatant
During my education I have had the opportunity to both perform and choreograph stage combat in multiple theatre, opera, and on-camera productions. I hold multiple first level certifications from Dueling Arts International, and am currently in pursuit of further certifications and training in stage combat and fight direction.
